Richard Beavan

Hayden Bailey

Hayden has an extensive range of private client and tax planning experience and advises entrepreneurs, family business owners and city executives on their UK capital taxation strategy, wills, trusts, life assurance based products, partnerships, shareholder issues and corporate governance. Hayden also advises non-UK domiciliaries on their UK taxation exposure and asset holding structures and Family Office arrangements.

Rahul Thakrar

Rahul advises entrepreneurs and businesses on a variety of corporate matters including equity raises, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions as well as assisting clients with day to day commercial agreements.
He also advises both borrowers and lenders on debt and mezzanine finance transactions and has significant experience in advising investment funds and fund managers on structuring and regulatory issues.

Geoffrey Todd

I give UK and international tax and estate planning advice to individuals, trustees and family businesses. I advise on tax planning strategies involving trusts and alternative structures, on residence and domicile issues and on cross-border estate planning, particularly between the US and the UK. I help owners of landed and other estates with succession planning, including the protection of wealth against divorce, and philanthropy. I act for entrepreneurs and owners of established trading companies, whose businesses include luxury retail, manufacturing, medical research and property.

Dennis Ko

Dennis is experienced in all aspects of commercial property with particular expertise in development work having during his career worked on major development projects such as Allied London’s Spinningfields and Westfield’s Stratford City and latterly Scarborough’s Middlewood Locks. He also has substantial experience in the buying, developing and selling of super prime residential property having acted for a number of Middle Eastern clients in this field. He has a varied client base from property developers to ultra high net worth individuals.

Simon Gorham

Simon advises on the full range of employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious, often across European and international jurisdictions. He has extensive experience advising on the employment aspects of a wide variety of private equity, M&A and outsourcing transactions (with a particular emphasis on the application of TUPE), as well as restructuring schemes and IPOs. He has particular experience advising family businesses on UK and international employment law issues, as well as financial services institutions on employment and employment regulatory issues, investigations, multi-jurisdictional re-organisations, whistleblowing, discrimination, grievances, dismissals and defending claims. Additionally, he has extensive experience advising senior executives across all industry sectors on sensitive and high-stakes matters. He has been quoted in publications in the UK, US and Europe on employment law issues.

He regularly advises on senior executive service agreements, settlement agreements and sensitive boardroom issues as well as the protection of confidential information and post-termination restrictions.

Simon previously worked in the employment department of an international law firm and has spent time on secondment in the employment legal team of a global professional services firm and at an international bank.

Katie O’Callaghan

Katie is a Senior Associate in the family team at Boodle Hatfield. She advises clients on all aspects of family law, with a particular emphasis on high net worth financial remedy proceedings on divorce. A high proportion of her workload involves complex wealth structures both in the UK and abroad and a number of her client’s cases are dealt with in the High Court as a consequence. She has over the last year been involved in several sets of financial remedy proceedings where the majority of the parties’ wealth is tied up in a family business and the primary issue has been the value of the company and the ways in which funds can be extracted from it to buy out one spouse’s interest. She has a varied client base with backgrounds in private equity, sport, retail and technology.

Charlie Hewlett

Charlie advises on a range of corporate matters including M&A, reorganisations and equity raises. He also helps a number of private companies with their day-to-day corporate and commercial arrangements. He specialises in working with entrepreneurs and family businesses.

In addition to his legal experience, Charlie was formerly a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and holds an MBA from London Business School.

Laura Cullinane

Laura advises on a broad range of private client, tax and trust law matters both onshore and offshore. She has experience of estate planning, trusts, wills and lasting powers of attorney. Laura qualified in 2013 and joined the firm in March 2017.

Harriet Errington

Harriet’s practice covers all aspects of family law, including divorce and the financial consequences of relationship breakdown, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and children issues.
Harriet’s work comprises both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has particular expertise in complex financial disputes involving high net worth individuals and the drafting of and advising on complex pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
